Climax ©2004 Oil on canvas "A friend pointed out that what I described to her as being my inspiration for this piece and what I first wrote on this page didn't match. "She was right! "For some reason, I wrote that the idea came from a dream, when in fact, it comes from the shape of a silk ivy climbing down the wall in my bedroom. Although that ivy has been there for years, I didn't notice how interesting it looked until I woke up that morning in August of 2004. Maybe my seeing it for the first time has indeed something to do with a dream I had just had. Who knows?
